Fruit and Vegetable Growing for Sustainable Livelihoods Project-Butikiro

SLINT-Uganda (www.slint.org) has assisted resource-poor farmers in Butikiro and Kiyuni villages to embark on fruit and vegetable growing as a strategic means to secure sustainable livelihoods. This has been through the Fruit and Vegetable Growing for Sustainable Livelihoods Project being implemented in Butikiro village, Gayaza sub-county, Kiboga district in Uganda.

SLINT-Uganda Gayaza Smallholder Beekeeping Project

video1 (3K)The Gayaza Beekeeping Project which is assisting at least 50 farmers households to engage in modern beekeeping. Sustainable Livelihoods International -Uganda (SLINT-Uganda) has so far donated 30 langstroth beehives, 1 bee suit and a smoker to farmers. One beekeeping training workshop was organised for more than 50 local people. We aim to assist them to acquire 150 more beehives, 2 bee suits, 2 smokers and 1 honey extractor.
