What We Do
In line with the overall mission and strategic goals, SLINT's activities and operations are organised around four interlinked core programmes, namely the:
The central theme under all the programmes is empowering people to achieve sustainable development, in particular, to secure lasting improvements in their quality of life while safeguarding the integrity and long-term productivity of the environment.
We support people's initiatives and projects by, among other things:
Mobilising and channeling funding and other support to the target groups
- Providing technical advice and extension services
- Promoting awareness and education
- Offering training in order to impart relevant knowledge and skills
- Facilitating access to relevant information and opportunities
- Mobiling people and helping them to establish or strengthen local institutions to address key environment and livelihood issues
- Advocating appropriate policies and governance systems.
